Molly Paradice, founder of @MadebyMolly used her time in isolation to establish her own jewellery brand and has since been flooded with orders. I had a chat with Molly, and here's what she had to say...

Molly's ~Inspiration~

"I've always loved making jewellery. My mum is a jeweller and so I have grown up around it all my life. As a kid she would encourage me and my siblings to make our friends birthday presents and then as I got older I started making necklaces and selling them at school and now it's morphed into a little business which is very exciting. Although I have always kind of made and sold jewellery I never really had the opportunity to sit down with an extended period of time and really concentrate on making an Instagram or website. So in that regard, COVID-19 has been pretty helpful in a weird way. It has forced me to grow my passion into something more."

Made by Molly today & what we can expect to see in the future ~

"Made By Molly is going so well! I am actually more blown away every single day at how quickly it has grown. I honestly just thought id get a few orders from my friends and it would taper off but that is not the case at all! Most of my orders come from complete strangers and I've even been sending parcels overseas, I sent one to Dubai yesterday! Since it has been such a whirlwind I haven't had a lot of time to properly think about my long term goals for Made By Molly but I know that I definitely want to work for myself and potentially grow MBM into something bigger and employ young likeminded people. At the moment I have been selected to participate in some markets in Bondi (The Bondi Bazzar) and will definitely be doing Paddington, Glebe and many other markets when they all open back up after Corona."

Molly's favourite thing about Made by Molly ~

"I have lots of favourite things about MBM, so I'll just list a couple. First of all, I love that it allows people to get exactly what they want by being in direct contact with the designer, maker and owner (me!). This means we can design a piece together that they will absolutely love and I know exactly what they want. Another thing is that I love the pricing of my pieces. Lots of other brands that are selling more or less the same products as me charge triple what I charge which is fine but I want to make sure everyone can have one of my pieces, no matter the number in your bank account. My prices range from $5-$40 which I think is pretty reasonable! My final favourite thing about MBM is that I work for myself, doing what I love when I want. I have the power to choose my own hours which has been so good with my lifestyle as I am a full-time Uni student!"

Congratulations Molly, I know I love my pieces from @MadebyMolly, can't wait to see what's next!
